Craftiness and familyness

This weekend we had a little craft day to help me with all my projects for the wedding. Dang you pinterest and your good ideas. I didn't realize how much stuff I was really trying to make until we actually sat down and started doing some things. haha. It definitely went well and I had a lot of fun. It was so nice to have all my girlfriends over, my parents and AJ's parents helping us. It was so nice to have things made by our friends and family too. My parents were mostly in charge of making the homemade jam for favors. It was definitely a long process. With the help of everyone we made 100+ jars. Wheeeww!

Anywhoo.. I'm just getting so excited for our wedding day, and to see all the decorations and love all put together.

Easter Weekend

This past weekend we went to California for some wedding stuff, and also for AJs sister's baby shower. It is so exciting to see Jennie and Ivan get all ready for their little baby girl. It will be the first niece for both AJ and I, so we are so excited for her to get here!

While visiting I got to stop by Aubrey's place. And. Oh. My. Jealous. She literally lives on the beach in Newport. She has 4 roommates and they all live in this awesome college area, go to school and hang on the beach. She is living the good life for sure. Oh and did I mention that she went to Costa Rica for her spring break to volunteer at an orphanage? I'm pretty sure I have the most amazing sister around. :)

Most of the wedding planning is done! I'm getting more and more nervous as we get closer. So much planning and then it's all over in one glorious day. I can't wait! Picking out the flowers, deciding on a venue, food tasting, picking out the cake, bridal dress shopping! Ahh I've loved it all. I'm trying to enjoy the whole process and soak it all in. A little less than 4 months to go! Oh and we booked our honeymoon. After seriously taking 2 months to decide we are going to St. Lucia! I can't wait! :)

Let the planning begin!

This past week went so crazy fast. I went to Vegas for Christmas and had a lovely time with my parents. It was so nice to see my family. All us girls went out on Christmas Eve in Vegas. Definitely a first! haha.

AJ flew up to Vegas on Monday and we hung out with the family that day. We went on a hike and opened presents. From there we drove to Orange County. Worst car ride of my life. I don't know what we were thinking driving the day after Christmas. It should have taken us about 4 hours, and it took us 6 1/2. Seriously not fun. Eventually we made it to Orange county and met up with AJ's family.

We stayed with AJ's cousins Mike and Roz for the night. We asked Mike if he would be our officiant and marry us. It was so awesome to see his reaction. He was stoked and we are so excited to have him be our officiant.

The next day we drove to San Diego to look at venues. The first place we looked at the lady had no clue what she was doing and didn't give us much information. NEXT. So Wednesday we look at a few more places and decide on a venue!! We are so stoked. We set the date for August 3rd, 2012. While we were there we booked our photographer. Now that we have a date and a venue the true planning begins. I'm so excited. It truly is going to be the best day of our life. :)

Ring Trouble

So on Saturday I was at work just going through a normal day at work. I was on the phone calling in a prescription to a pharmacist when I look down at my ring and one of the diamonds is missing. PANIC. I freaked out as soon as I got off the phone. I let my coworkers know and we were all crawling on the floor trying to look for this thing. We even got a flashlight out. It was pretty hilarious. Anywho I call AJ thinking he was going to freak out, but he was actually calm about it. Luckily we had a warranty on it. I left work and we went to the store. The guy there was like ya we can just replace it but actually one of the other diamonds is loose too! I was like what the heck, a diamond shouldn't be loose on a ring. So it was because when I resized my ring to my itty bitty finger (4 1/4) the band was just too loose and diamonds weren't held in place properly. So they would probably fall out again. So I picked out a whole new setting and picked it up today. I love it and couldn't be happier!

This weekend I'm driving to my parent's house for Christmas then next week we are going to look at venues. YIPPPEEE!

ENGAGED!

Yes, after 4 years I'm finally engaged! haha. I couldn't be happier and be more in love with Aj.

We celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Sunday. I had a feeling he was going to propose, but I didn't want to get my hopes up, so tried not to get excited. On Saturday I was laying down and Aj's phone rang next to me and it said Steve W. I was like hmm that's weird. Steve W is my dad and I don't think that he knows any other Steve W's. haha So I didn't say anything to Aj about it, in case he was trying to surprise me or something. I didn't ask my dad about it either because, I just didn't want to know. So on Sunday we were just hanging out, got coffee and went to the mall. Aj bought me a dress to wear for dinner. We went to this very nice restaurant The Cork. It was so fancy! When we got there they gave us our menus and it said this:

It was so cool! So we eat this fancy dinner and the whole time, I'm just trying to not think about if he's going to do it or not. But we end up eating and then paying the bill and leaving. I was kinda bummed. We came home and Aj says "Lets take a picture." I was like sure fine. He set up the camera and then looked at me and said before we take the picture I want you to wear something for me. Then he got down on one knee and proposed!! I screamed and cried. And it was perfect.

And Aj got ahold of my dad and asked his permission to marry me too.
And if anyone out there has any tips on this whole wedding planning stuff PLEASE let me know. I have no idea what I'm doing or how to even start. :)
